Gabriel Matson

I’m 34 years old and originally from Talladega, Alabama, but have been living in Birmingham for the past 16 years. When I moved to the Birmingham area for my first job, I worked a non-sales retail position where I began learning how to manage and run a business behind the scenes. In the seven years of working that job, I became efficient in making sure that clients had what they needed. I then worked in roofing inspections for a Calera-based roofing company where I learned as much as I could to become who I am today.

I have traveled throughout most of the state of Alabama, from Huntsville through Tuscaloosa and down to Montgomery, and love what I do. I enjoy meeting new people everyday and talking to every client. I am happy to be able to guide my clients every step of the way - from the start of a phone call, to the inspection of their property, to going over test results.

I am the owner and mold inspector with Mold Testing Services. For the past six years, I have tested and inspected roughly 7,000+ properties. I have worked with a local remediation company which taught me the best ways to remove mold. What makes me unique is that though I do not remediate myself.  With so many years in the business, I can guarantee to match each client with a company that fits their needs best. Whether you have health concerns, worried you might have mold, closing on a house, concerned about a spot, or just curious, I can help take those concerns off of your mind.

In my spare time, I love traveling and taking weekend trips to the mountains or the beach. When I travel to the beach, I have to be sure to pack the sunscreen or I turn into a lobster within minutes! I also enjoy trying new Birmingham restaurants. I am a pepper fanatic - the spicier the better!
